DREAMS LAS MAREAS WEDDING · REAL CELEBRATION

Lauren and Mike celebrated a Dreams Las Mareas wedding in Costa Rica. Rain became part of the day rather than something to hide, and the celebration continued through the ceremony and reception. The next day, they travelled to a waterfall in Bagaces for a second portrait session. Below is their story, as we photographed it.

Portraits at a waterfall in Bagaces

On the day after the wedding, Lauren and Mike travelled to a waterfall in Bagaces for more portraits. The sequence moves through large tree roots, shallow river water and the waterfall itself, giving the story a distinct second-day chapter.

Their white wedding clothes stand out against deep greenery, exposed tree roots, river water and falling water. It feels different from the resort celebration while still belonging to the same wedding story. The gallery starts here, then goes back to the wedding day.

Getting ready: letters, a gift box and the dress

Back on the wedding day, the bride reads a letter on the bed, writes a note at a desk, looks through an album beside her hanging wedding dress and opens a gift box. What happened when rain arrived

The photographs show heavy rain, umbrellas and a wedding party that kept moving through the weather together. The wedding party shelters the bride, and later frames follow Lauren and Mike beneath the floral arch, where the bride, groom and officiant laugh together.
