ARENAL VOLCANO WEDDING · REAL WEDDING

Tina and Duke’s Arenal Volcano wedding in Costa Rica included a symbolic ceremony and a second ceremony with Persian traditions. Arenal Volcano was in view from their room while they got ready and behind them during the day.

Getting ready
with a volcano in view.

Tina and Duke had Arenal Volcano as their view from the room, all day.

Tina and Duke stood together, ready for a new chapter, and the view from their room was Arenal Volcano for the entire day.

We photographed Duke waiting for Tina with the volcano in view, the details of the day, and Tina with the volcano in the background.

Their wedding was not one ceremony but two: a symbolic wedding and another with Persian traditions, both with Arenal Volcano as the backdrop.

Two ceremonies,
one backdrop.

The ceremonies took place against Arenal Volcano. Tina and Duke exchanged vows with the volcano as their backdrop, surrounded by family and friends.

The celebration continued after the ceremony with toasts, speeches and dancing. The photographs that follow move from the ceremony to portraits and the wedding party.

03 / IF YOU’RE PLANNING AN ARENAL WEDDING

Plan around
the view.

A few considerations from this wedding.

  1. Tell your photographers about every ceremony.

Tina and Duke had a symbolic ceremony and one with Persian traditions. If your day includes more than one, share the order and the people involved so we are in the right place for each.

  2. Use the view from the room.

Their view of Arenal Volcano stayed with them while they got ready. If the setting is part of why you chose a place, say so, and we will plan the photographs around it.

  3. Ask about a weather plan.

Ask your venue and your planner what happens to the ceremony if the weather changes. Our guide to choosing a month to marry in Costa Rica can help you choose a season.

  4. Introduce your team early.

Tina and Duke worked with a planner, a videographer and a makeup artist. Putting everyone in touch before the day makes the timeline easier. Our planning guide covers the first steps.
