Celebrating in Costa Rica Wedding Las Catalinas
Andrea and Kevin’s story began over a decade ago when they were neighbors. Their children’s friendship kept them connected even after he moved away. Years passed, the children grew into teenagers, and life went on. Fate intervened, bringing Andrea and Kevin back into each other’s lives because their kids remained friends. This time, the spark of love was undeniable. “We both know how lucky we are to have found such an amazing love,” they both agree.
The Perfect Setting: Las Catalinas destination wedding Costa Rica
Andrea and Kevin chose Las Catalinas, inspired by a video they saw from Adri and Lucas Weddings. With its Mediterranean-inspired design and stunning beaches, Las Catalinas provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. This picturesque beach town is a dream destination for a wedding, with stunning houses, a colorful town!
The couple envisioned an intimate and private wedding focusing on family unity. They wanted their children to be a part of their special day, symbolizing the blending of their families into one.
The Wedding Day
The wedding day started in a summer day in Costa Rica’s destination wedding Las Catalinas. Andrea and Kevin’s wedding day in Costa Rica started with the beautiful architecture of the town and taking advantage of the surroundings. They wanted to have a private “first look” moment to read their private vows (it’s a great idea to have your own intimate vows for the first look and another public version vows for the ceremony ).
The ceremony took place next to the beach, and each kid walked down the aisle. Kevin couldn’t hide his excitement and happiness to look at at her.
The theme of the wedding was “second chances in love and celebrating family unity.” Every detail reflected this theme, from personalized vows to family-inclusive ceremonies. The intimate setting allowed Andrea and Kevin to focus on what truly mattered – their love for each other and their children.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a cozy reception by the beach. The couple opened champagne, danced and had a private tiny dinner with their kids, sharing stories and laughter.
Andrea and Kevin’s wedding in Las Catalinas was a beautiful reminder that love always finds a way. Their story of second chances and family unity. As they embark on this new chapter together, they are forever grateful for the journey that brought them to this day.

Tips from Kevin and Andrea elopement
- Choosing a beautiful, quiet and good light place for getting ready, with big windows, we took advantage of the house and the outside areas, and all of them stayed in the same house, so with our experience, we took both getting ready in a private way and any of them see each other until the first look.
- Having your private vows ready during the first look in Las Catalinas, many times couples want their private words and another version of the vows for the ceremony; it is great having two versions and keeping your own version for your loved one.
- All the family members had the best attitude and patience and were involved in the wedding; the kids were part of the bridal party and helped them out during the day, so this way, they felt part of everything.
- “It’s your day, so you can make it your own way. Kevin and Andrea knew that the first look was crucial for them to share their vows. Having this private moment before the ceremony allowed them to make the day under their own rules. Be present and live at 100%!”
